Hinge Assembly Rotation Question

I have created a hinge associates that allows the hinge to freely rotate usually. I take now placed that hinge assembly into some other assembly and the hinge volition not rotate at all. One half of the hinge is constrained to a grounded part. The other half of the swivel is constrained to a lid, which is non grounded. If the swivel can rotate in the hinge assembly, why tin can't the hinge rotate in the master assembly. What am I missing? Thanks, John -- John Gaubatz Raven Industries, Inc.

Need to RMB on the hinge subassembly at the principal associates level and check Adaptive. This will let the hinge to rotate in the upper level assembly. There tin can exist only one adaptive occurrence at a time, so I you lot need more than on, yous will need multiple hinge assemblies. Jim "John Gaubatz"

Thanks Jim, Setting the adaptivity of the sub worked bang-up. At present I just need to figure out how to ascertain the rotation angle and I will be set. John "Jim Hagarty"

setting an angle constarint on the second office, it's pretty like shooting fish in a barrel, I fastened a motion-picture show to relieve your self some fourth dimension reading up on it...

Thanks to Mike Schindler on this one.. he helped me with this when I was a nebiew.....

I have made several hinges and installed in assemblies but I want as the original poster wants (I think) to have a range of motion for the hinge. I can swing the door right thru a chiffonier typically and want to be able to swing information technology only thru the range immune. Is there any way to practice this? Dan.

The original post is pretty sometime. Cheque into flexible assemblies and contact solver. I think these were added since the original postal service.
